War powers on one hand, the budget on the other

He was among the Republicans who voted to require American forces to be withdrawn from hostilities with Iran, against the conference position. Separately he opposed the congressional budget resolution establishing spending levels for the coming decade, which his party carried. Supporting a constraint on presidential war-making and rejecting your own party's budget are different arguments, and he made both.

The remainder is amendment work on the defense authorization and the State Department spending bill, plus a vote against the KIDS Act on passage.
